Production
AIS Aqua’s production model is based on close partnership with small and medium out-growers, aquaculturists, creating social and economic opportunity in the communities in which we work. Close cooperation allows us to ensure that care is taken to avoid damaging the environment and that the product we produce is of high quality and free of chemical or harmful residues. AISD’s coding, testing and labeling system for traceability ensures accountability for compliance with food safety, quality, and clean production standards.

BEST AQUACULTURE PRACTICES
AIS Aqua’s production is based on Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP). BAP encourages the culture of safe, wholesome seafood in an environmentally and socially responsible manner, while helping to improve the efficiency and long-term sustainability of the aquaculture industry. The standards consist of four categories including Community, Environment, Food Safety, and Traceability. Details on the standards see the Global Aquaculture website at www.gaalliance.org
